Crab Festival at The Victory Cup

Are you ready for a GREAT WEEKEND?

To comply with social distancing requirements, we are hosting this event (same services, same schedule and same setup) on an 85 acre equestrian property across from Bankersmith Dance Hall in Fredericksburg, Texas. Polo, Great Food, Drinks, A Helicopter and Hot Air Balloons!

This event is held on two properties. The balloon activation and helicopters are on our farm across the street. Everytime we hold this event, a handful of people only drive to that location and then complain about missing out on all the other activities. Please don’t be one of these people. READ THE SCHEDULE and MAKE SURE YOU attend ALL ACTIVITIES at the Bankersmith Dance Hall and Saloon! Do not stay out in the field all day and be miserable just waiting for the winds to die down. Get your helicopter or hot air balloon ride and come join the party at Bankersmith Dance Hall! If the winds are bad, do not wait all day over there waiting for a Hot Air Balloon Ride. Either get on the Helicopter Ride or go wait at Bankersmith Dance Hall and watch the weather on your phone. Balloons CANNOT give rides until winds are under 5MPH.

We have Live Music, Hot Air Balloons and even Helicopter Rides for your pleasure both Friday and Saturday in addition to our Seafood Festival activations. Polo Matches will be on Saturday only. The Balloons, Helicopters (Friday and Saturday) and Polo are on the larger property across the street. The Seafood Festival portion, much of the Live Music, Cowboy Gunfight and more will be held at Bankersmith Dance Hall. Much of the activity will be at Bankersmith Dance Hall and Saloon, so DO NOT MISS IT! Our FREE Kin Faux Concert is 7PM on Saturday at Bankersmith Dance Hall! You do NOT want to miss this concert, so plan your schedule around it. This will be the highlight of your weekend!

AVOID the LINES: WRISTBAND PICKUP: Get your wristbands without waiting in line! Come pre-register between 4 PM and 8 PM on Thursday or Noon to 2PM on Friday at Bankersmith Texas for the October 16-17th events! Get your wristbands in advance so you do NOT have to wait in LONG lines Friday and Saturday! Pre-pickup is not MANDATORY but HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

PRINT YOUR TICKETS!!!: Remember, this is a ghost town and the wireless and internet service on the property is not capable of processing tickets electronically. PLEASE print out your tickets and have your parking cash and ID ready at registration! If you do not PRINT your tickets you may have to wait in line much, much longer! Help US, help YOU!

VIP FOOD SERVICE: Lobster, Oysters, Snow Crab and MO’! Get ready to CHOW DOWN! The VIP food service will occur on FRIDAY from 4PM until 8PM and again on Saturday from 10AM to 2PM and then 4PM until 8PM in the Bankersmith Dance Hall area. VIP’s can come and enjoy the open Oyster Bars during these times, while Oyster supplies last. VIP’s are also HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to come to the Dance Hall by 8PM Saturday to enjoy premier seating for an awesome live concert by the Kin Faux Band!

POLO and HORSES: All equestrian activations on SATURDAY ONLY START AT 3PM (Polo & Trophy Presentation) will be held at ‘Bankersmith Too’ and not at the Bankersmith Dance Hall, for obvious reasons. BALLOONS: Winds are ALWAYS BEST in morning, so come by 7AM on SATURDAY for the BEST CHANCE to GET A RIDE! Each event we have a handful of guests who come expecting hundreds of balloons. That is not our event. We typically have a handful of balloons. They are big, beautiful and when the winds cooperate all of our guests are able to get rides. But PLEASE do NOT come expecting to see a hundred balloons in the air. It ain’t happening. What will be happening is live music each hour, several bars, the beautiful outdoors, a pumpkin patch, horses riders and polo, a live music concert by Kin Faux and others, oysters, lobster, snow crab food activations and even helicopter rides! READ THE FULL SCHEDULE! All Hot Air Balloon and Helicopter activations will be held at ‘Bankersmith Too’ and not at the Bankersmith Dance Hall, for obvious reasons. But do not stay out on the farm field ALL DAY. Come enjoy Bankersmith Dance Hall and Saloon, because that is where a lot of the action is! Hot Air Balloon activations will typically be held late afternoon (likely after 4PM on Friday and on Saturday), into evening and held at ‘Bankersmith, Too’. Watch the winds! Balloons are not going up if winds are over 5MPH. Weather permitting, Hot Air Balloon Glow & Tethered Rides will be available both Friday and Saturday nights AND SATURDAY MORNING. Winds are ALWAYS BEST in morning, so come by 7AM on SATURDAY for the BEST CHANCE to GET A RIDE! Experience these magical giants up close. If balloons are unable to activate due to safety, you can automatically upgrade to a Helicopter Ride! Watch the weather, if it looks like it is going to be windy your best best will be to get a Helicopter Ride early so you do not have to wait in line longer, later on when the masses realize the winds are too bad for balloons. EVENT EXPECTATIONS: Whoaaaa Trigger, whoa! Please don’t come expecting hundreds of balloons or the Ritz Cartlon in New York! Welcome to the country and breathe a little! 2020 has been horrid. Enjoy your time in the country! Welcome home! Manage your expectations cowboy. This is a fun, casual country fair and Hot Air Balloon Festival and Polo Match with a Texas twist! You will be spending your time between two unique properties. This is our second event on our new farm at Bankersmith Too and we will be working out the kinks accordingly. We want your input! Please be patient with us. Polo guests and our VIP’s are encouraged to dress up but make sure you are comfortable! Our VIP Area is in white tent fieldside for polo and then in the rustic ol’ Bankersmith Dance Hall at Bankersmith Dance Hall and Saloon in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. This is a little place, population 0, with lot’s of Texas character (AND characters). We just built this new Polo Field and it is being played on the dirt, so for those coming to Polo wear boots or your best walking shoes! 

We have about a half a dozen local artists and bands playing throughout Saturday on both properties and will have a small, fun kids area for the kids! Just like most Texas Dance Halls (from Luckenbach to Gruene) we have NATURAL HVAC and air conditioning. What’s that? A Hill Country Breeze and Ice Cold Beer. That’s it. So come prepared. Dress appropriately. We have made changes to help us meet social distancing requirements, and we ask for your understanding. If you want to wear a mask, wear one. There is plenty of room to social distance. Be smart. And if you are sick, STAY HOME. Bankersmith Texas will be open all weekend. LIVE CONCERT WITH KIN FAUX BAND: Head to Bankersmith Dance Hall at 7PM on Saturday for an amazing live concert by Kin Faux, a band of four talented musicians on a mission to put "western" back in country music. While they do pay tribute to country legends like Haggard, Jennings, and Cash, the heavy influence of the band comes from today's Texas music scene (i.e. Randy Rogers, Kevin Fowler, Cody Jinks, and Wade Bowen). What you will experience at a "Kin Faux" show is a solid rhythm section providing a foundation for blistering guitar and fiddle solos. What you will NOT experience are skinny, glitter-jeans twerking to Pop 40 Country. So, put on your wranglers and two-stepping' boots, then come see what the buzz is all about! Open to the public with preferred VIP Seating available.
