The Columbus Mac & Cheese Festival benefits the
adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer program at The Ohio State University
Comprehensive Cancer Center — Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J.
Solove Research Institute.
Cancer has become the number one disease killer in young
adults. While cancer survival rates have improved for other age groups, AYA
survival rates have not improved nearly as well. Even when a young adult beats
cancer, unique social issues await them: survivors sometimes find it difficult
to make friends, to date and to get careers and finances back on track.
Your support of the Columbus Mac & Cheese Festival will
provide research funds to develop programming and support that addresses the
unique needs of AYA patients.
