April Concert Day Pass

Heralding from a sold-out final concert from 2017, Friends of Music Series return in 2018 with a stellar lineup of top Melbourne emerging musicians, boasting from a variety of styles ranging from classical, folk to contemporary performances. 
April concert showcases two special concerts: the first, a special occasion in which a Benefit Concert will be held in memory of Ben Leske, who was the conductor for Newland's Choir intended to perform on this day at 2pm. In honour of his contribution to the community, FOMS is presenting the Benefit Concert in his name to raise funds for the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation. The second concert welcomes back anon., who are returning as established artists in the Melbourne music scene, having first performed with the Travancore Music Series in 2016. 

2pm, Various Artists for Benefit Concert 
The first concert for April will be a special benefit concert to be honoured in Dr. Benjamin Leske. He was a cherished musician in our community, who sadly passed away recently. The concert will be held in his name to raise funds for The Cure Brain Cancer Foundation. More details are available here

About the Artists
anon.
One of Australia’s most innovative performance groups, anon. aims to reimagine the live classical music experience. Join anon. for a journey of poise, passion and spontaneity - unravelling stories through much-loved masterpieces and Australian works alike. 
Recognised both for their design-led projects and quality trio performances, anon. brings a unique yet approachable take on connecting with new and seasoned audiences alike. They have recently performed at Melbourne Recital Centre, Melbourne Music Week, White Night Melbourne, Kew Court House, Port Fairy Spring Festival, and St Kilda Film Festival. 

As a collaboration platform, anon. has brought together Australian designers, filmmakers, musicians and composers to commission original work and challenge new perspectives. They were invited to present and perform at TEDx in Washington DC in 2016. anon. have featured in Broadsheet Melbourne, The Age, and live-to-air on 3MBS FM and ABC Radio National, and in 2017 released their first Spotify album.

Concerts at St. George's proudly presents the 2018 FOMS, showcasing top Melbourne emerging musicians! 

Concerts at St. George's is voluntarily managed by a team of musicians with the vision to establish St. George’s Anglican Church in Travancore as a new music performance venue in Melbourne’s inner northwest. Aligned with this vision is the annual Friends of Music Series (FOMS), showcasing top Melbourne emerging musicians.   

Your support for the local arts scene will be tremendously appreciated, with all proceeds from the 2017 FOMS concerts directly contributing to further enhancing the performance space at St. George's. The proceeds will also speak volumes for continuing the fundraising spirit for the Moonee Valley City community, and for continuing the vision for quality, affordable concert-going experiences for the local communities.
