ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION & OUR WORK...

Kamukamu Learning Foundation works with local and national leaders in Uganda to promote quality education in both primary and secondary public schools. Since 2009, KamuKamu has funded a number of projects (visit kamukamu.org for pictures and details) that were initiated by Ugandan communities, and continue to be supported and monitored by the communities. These projects include:

·      Installing water filters to ensure students have access to clean drinking water.

·      Building and renovating classrooms, and student and teacher dormitories.

·      Renovating bathroom facilities to improve comfort, privacy, and sanitation.

·      Replacing expensive and dangerous hurricane lamps with a solar lighting system.

·      Supporting vocational education with the purchase of computers, sewing machines, and cattle.

Money raised during the benefit auction will be used to fund future projects like these!
