Directions: Take Hwy 130 east for ~11 miles from I-680; or take Quimby Rd east ~7 miles from Capitol Expwy. Meet at Grant Lake parking area on Mt. Hamilton Rd (Hwy 130) on the left (coming from San Jose) 0.25 miles past the main park entrance (on the right). Parking here is free but limited, and we will be able to do some car shuffling with the parking in the main park if necessary.
Highlights: We’ll check out Grant Lake and other park locations looking for fall migrants and resident birds.
Notes: There is an entry fee required ($6 or SC County Park pass) for the main park area, which we will be entering at some point during the trip. Rain cancels
