Herbert Von King Park Amphitheater

Herbert Von King Park, 670 Lafayette Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, USA

Join us on Sunday, September 8th for The PAn-Afro Wisdom (P.O.W.) Fest, a free community festival celebrating Afro-diasporic cultures and creativity. Building on the success of last year's event, this festival promises an unforgettable day of music, workshops, and community engagement. 🤸🏿☀️🌱

We have an incredible lineup featuring another laughter meditation workshop by Laraaji, new age ambient pioneer, performances by Madame Vacile, DJ and cultural activist, Selam, multidisciplinary storyteller, Dianna Lopez, incredible Afro Caribbean indie artist, muva of Earth, a celestial sound traveler, and Batalá, an all-women Afro-Brazilian percussion ensemble!🥳

In addition to the performances, POW Fest will feature various activities designed to engage and delight attendees of all ages. From a laughter meditation session to capoeira and a plant walk workshop, there will be something for everyone. The festival will also include a drawing nook, a guestbook activity, and plenty of fun games for children and adults alike. Our event is not just about entertainment; it’s about building connections and fostering a sense of community in a space centering black and brown queer people.🌟

Special thanks to @mythsooka for the stunning flyer and @Emilio_vc for our beautiful logo. We invite everyone to join us in this celebration of culture, creativity, and community. Mark your calendars for Sunday, September 8th and come be a part of this vibrant, wholesome event!🙏🏿
