Kentucky Derby Afternoon Tea

Saturday, April 27, 2024

12:00 PM - 03:00 PM

(Etc - UTC)

The Seelbach Hilton Hotel

500 South 4th Street, Louisville, KY, USA

What better way to get into the Derby spirit than by joining us to the first annual Kentucky Derby Afternoon Tea at the historic Seelbach Hotel, built in 1905.  Dine in the legendary OakRoom and enjoy traditional British tea sandwiches, savory bites and sweets that will be created with a Kentucky Derby twist.

Specially crafted hot and cold teas will be served and also available for purchase following the event.

Be treated to storytelling of high-profile guests such as American novelist, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and learn about the secret connection between the OakRoom and the notorious gangster, Al Capone.

Not sure about the etiquette of tea events? No, problem.... there will be a quick and fun introduction into the history and etiquette.

Hats and fascinators are highly encouraged to be worn and Derby attire is encouraged.  No jeans, please.

Valet parking is available on site for an additional fee. There is a parking garage conveniently located behind the hotel and also metered street parking.

This event is a major fundraiser for the Louisville Recovery Community Connection, a 501(3) non-profit. Executive Director, Lindsay West, will provide an overview of the exceptional work being done at the LRCC and share stories of inspiration and recovery. Learn more about the LRCC.
