Meet our panelists and moderator:

Veera Hiranandani, panelist

Veera Hiranandani is the award-winning author of several books for young people. Her most recent middle-grade novel, How to Find What You're Not Looking For, received the 2022 Sydney Taylor Book Award, the 2022 Jane Addams Book Award, and was a finalist for the 2022 National Jewish Book Award. Read more here.

Susanna Reich, panelist

Susanna Reich has been writing books for children since 1994. Susanna's first book, Clara Schumann: Piano Virtuoso (Clarion, 1999), won an Orbis Pictus Honor from the National Council of Teachers of English, and was an ALA Notable and Best Book for Young Adults, and a School Library Journal Best Book of the Year, among other honors. Read more here.

Eric Rosswood, moderator

Eric Rosswood is an award-winning author of LGBTQ parenting books. He also writes stories for children. Strong, cowritten with Rob Kearney, the world’s first openly gay strongman competitor who broke American weightlifting records, is a 2023 Stonewall Book Award Honor. Read more here.
