Joining the 'Hang Gang' in 2003 as a summer intern, Piero Spadaro knew by summer’s end there was no turning back. He quickly bought his first two Hang artworks, a Mark Allen Soderstrom and a Judy Spiegel, and wanted more. Piero is now the director and owner of Hang Art. His personal collection boasts well over 300 works from friends, past teachers and artists that he used to admire, as well as, artists whose careers he launched and those that he represents today. A rotating selection remains on view at his one bedroom Cow Hollow condo, which currently includes a collaborative painting with Addie Shevlin, sculptures and installations by Klari Reis, Shinique Smith, Justin Favela, and small works by Hank Willis Thomas, Roy de Forest, Linda Connor and so many more. Hang Art’s mascot, Canvas (a golden doodle), is ready to be your guide to Spadaro Collection.
