The
Amistad Movement is an anti-trafficking campaign of the USCCB and is the
Church's response to this evil crime against humanity.
Find out what you can do to help the vulnerable and those you love stay safe and avoid becoming a victim of this crime. Learn to recognize key indicators of human trafficking, how to help a victim, support a survivor and how you can prevent modern day slavery. Become a Community Educator and share what you learn with others.
You will learn how to :
· Identify human trafficking and exploitation in various industries
· Establish partnerships with coalitions and other organizations to combat human trafficking
· Support survivors of human trafficking
· Become an ethical employer and consumer
Workshop is on Saturday, November 12th from 9 a.m. - 12:30 in St. Ignatius Xavier Center, Room 12.
