Presented by veterinary physiotherapist, qualified saddle fitter and graduate sports therapist, Caroline Lindsay, this is the mandatory introductory lecture for the series of Manipulation, Myofascial and Mobilisation techniques Webinar lecture sessions. Participants can only register for and attend the techniques webinars when attendance of this introductory session has been completed although anyone can attend this introductory lecture.

This two hour lecture represents the background content to the techniques so that those interested in any of the separate 'How To' presentations may participate in just those presentations and in any order. This lecture covers:

  1. Clarification of the application of the techniques demonstrated.
  2. A review of the names of the bones and joint types making up the equine skeleton.
  3. A review the essentials of movement in equitation.
  4. The difference between manipulation, myofascial & mobilisation techniques.
  5. How trigger points can be identified and treated.
  6. How the separate techniques can be applied.
  7. Typical reactions to application of the techniques.
