02:00 PM - 04:00 PM

419 South Main Street, Sycamore, IL

Join us for a soul-soothing journey designed especially for grieving mothers (and one support person). Cole’s Camp, in partnership with Yogahaus in Sycamore is offering a very special event for Mothers on May 11th.

What to know: The best part of Sound Meditation is you don’t have to DO anything! Often called a Sound “Bath”, it’s something you allow to “wash” over you. Whatever feelings you experience during a Sound Meditation, know that it’s all normal. Some people feel very relaxed, and some people feel invigorated–and this can change each time you attend. You’ll begin laying down but during the session it’s fine to quietly adjust positions, roll onto your side, sit, etc... If your neighbor falls asleep, that’s okay. If your neighbor starts to snore–you’ll gently wake them up!

What to expect: To get you to the state of yogic sleep I begin by a rotation of awareness through the body. You will experience the deeply immersive sounds and healing vibrations of quartz crystal singing bowls and brass Tibetan bowls. I’ll also be playing a wave drum that helps move the energy through your body. There will also be some moments of silence and guided meditation. After the session you can sip my herbal tea blend and participants often like to share thoughts about their experience.

What to bring: Comforts–eye masks, fuzzy socks, and anything that will help you feel a sense of ease! Wear comfortable clothing and bring a pillow and yoga mat if you have one. I have plenty of blankets and bolsters that you are welcome to use.

Where to go: The studio is located at 419 South Main Street, Sycamore which is 3 blocks south of State Street (Route 64) on the West side of the street. Look for a brick house with an orange and green clay tile roof. Please park on the street and come on in (you don’t need to knock)!

*Please note the studio is part of a residence and will require the physical ability to climb stairs.
