We’ll check out the historic and now-controversial Searsville Dam and then search varied habitats for woodpeckers, raptors, and songbirds. 2 miles, some climbing and descents. Be sure to wear closed-toed shoes.

Directions: From I-280, take the Sand Hill Rd west exit and travel approx. 2 miles to the Jasper Ridge main gate (on the left), 100 yards. before Portola Rd. We will meet at the preserve at 8:00AM and enter through the locked gate as a group. Plan to be on time as late arrivals may be locked out.
