Ambassador Pamela E. Bridgewater (ret.)

Board Chair & CEO, The Africa Society

Ambassador Bridgewater has enjoyed a celebrated career as a United States Foreign Service Officer who has led diplomatic efforts that helped change the course of world events. Ambassador Bridgewater’s overseas tours were in Belgium, The Bahamas, Jamaica, South Africa, Benin and Ghana. She has the distinction of being the longest- serving U.S. diplomat in South Africa during the historic transition from apartheid to a non-racial government. Ambassador Bridgewater is currently Board Chair & CEO of The Africa Society.

Alexis Rogers joined WLWT in August 2016, from KATV in Little Rock, Arkansas where she was a reporter and fill-in anchor. Ms. Rogers received a nomination for a Mid-America Emmy for her reporting on the eclectic history of 9th Street.

“Mandela—Journey to Ubuntu”

All guests will enjoy exclusive access to the special exhibition in its last night at the Freedom Center. This exhibit tells the story of Mandela’s life and his fight for equality, justice, and freedom. The exhibition provides a platform for a sharing of values so richly present in Mandela’s life to understand the role forgiveness, leadership, truth, and sacrifice play in overcoming the challenges we face in society today.

 

Admission also includes: hors d’oeuvres by Elegant Fare

Guests over 21 will enjoy open bar during the welcome reception & immediately following the program, until 8:30 PM.

Dress code: Business Casual or African Attire

$100 - one admission 

$180 - two admissions

$700 - eight admissions (name will be recognized in the program)

Student price (above 21 years old) - $75/one admission

Special student price (18-21 years old) - $30
