SCVAS Field Trip: Coyote Creek Trailhead (Anderson Lake County Park)

Directions: Take Hwy 101-S to Cochrane Exit, turning left on Cochrane. After about a mile, turn left on Malaguerra Ave and continue into Anderson Lake County Park, keeping left to enter the park. Parking lots are on the left. Meet in front of the Visitor Center.

Highlights: We'll explore the southern part of the meandering Coyote Creek Trail, and look for Wood Ducks, Common and Hooded Mergansers, and listen for breeding songbirds, such as Black-Headed Grosbeaks and Bullock's Orioles.

Difficulty: ~2.5 mile out-and-back walk over a mostly flat trail.

Notes: Use county pass or purchase $6 day pass at first parking lot. Beginners welcome! Rain cancels
