“Sugar is not evil…but life is SO
much better when you get rid of it!”
Did you know sugar is now found in
about 80% of the foods we eat? With people on this planet getting sicker and
sicker, what role could this sweet little substance be playing?
Damon Gameau set on a journey to find out the bitter truth. In this thoroughly entertaining film, Damon embarks on a unique experiment to document the effects of a high sugar diet on a healthy body, consuming only foods that are commonly perceived as ‘healthy’. Through this informative journey, Damon highlights some of the issues that plague the sugar industry, and where sugar lurks on supermarket shelves.
The film features guest cameos from the likes of Stephen Fry, Isabel Lucas and Brenton Thwaites, interviews with Gary Taubes, Michael Moss and Dr Kimber Stanhope plus a rocking soundtrack including Depeche Mode, Peter Gabriel and Florence and the Machine.

SUGAR FILM will forever change the way you think about ‘healthy’ food (and it’ll
make you laugh!).
Before the film, you’ll be able to purchase delicious, organic meals and drinks. There’ll be local exhibitors to chat with and a guided meditation in the theatre.
After the film we’ll have a Q&A panel with local experts.
Children
are welcome and free.
Program for the evening:
· 5.45pm – doors open, organic meals available for purchase, chat to our local exhibitors
· 6.45pm – meditation in the theatre (please be seated in the theatre by this time)
· 7pm – film commences
· 8.30pm – Q&A panel
· 9pm – event concludes.

Where
can I park?
There is parking behind the Multicultural Centre, just use the driveway beside the building. There is also plenty of on-street parking if the car park fills up.
Can
I buy tickets at the door?
Yes if there are tickets left. We will have eftpos.
Do I
need to bring my ticket?
No, save the paper! Just tell us your name at the door.
