Wind Wolves Preserve Curious Explorer Program-Heartland Charter School

Registration window October 14, 10:00 a.m. - October 20, 7:00 p.m.

Ignite your 2nd-5th grade students' curiosity as we explore the trails of San Emigdio Canyon. Students will employ the building blocks of scientific inquiry as we practice making observations, asking questions, and proposing explanations based on evidence. Naturalists will also cover a range of ecological concepts encountered on the route. This program is walking-intensive!

Wear hiking gear and bring water.

Heartland events are designed for families to attend together. Students need to be accompanied by an adult chaperone. If your student will be attending with another family, please indicate this when you register your student and let the field trip host know once you complete your registration.

May I pay using my funds? This event is FREE!

What are the check-in procedures? Check in with Deonna Tack. At the fork in the road, take the left one and she will be in the parking lot checking people in. It’s called the Crossing Parking Lot.

Does this trip have any height, weight, and/or age restrictions? Students must be in 2nd-5th grade to attend. Siblings outside this range will not be allowed to attend. Each person who attends a field trip or event must be registered through Ticketbud.

Is there on-site parking available? Yes, free parking is available.

Can we pack snacks or lunch for this event or field trip? Please pack a lunch for after the hike.
