Join us for a presentation from Sharon Self of Greer Development Corporation about growth in Greer. The Center G revitalization project reached substantial completion recently and the investment is gaining momentum for the local commercial development - new hotel, parking deck, and new multi-story retail and residential development are all underway. Learn about the commercial developments in Greer and what Greer is doing to attract business.
Sharon Self is the Marketing & Research director for the Greer Development Corporation. This role also supports the Greer Station Association and provides marketing support to the downtown Greer business owners.
Sharon’s previous roles include beginning her career in a similar role at the Greenville Chamber of Commerce where she supported marketing and research for economic development and also provided marketing and event support to small business owners. She has also served as marketing director for Gallivan, White & Boyd law firm and Proterra. Her most recent role was with Fluor in marketing services.
Sharon’s previous involvement with non-profit organizations began at the Greenville Chamber of Commerce, since that time she has served on the boards of Dogs for Autism, Centre Stage Theatre (Greenville), and Greenville Technical College Foundation. She also worked for JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) during one year.
Sharon is a graduate of Bob Jones University, and lives across the street from Greer, in Taylors.
